Walt Mossberg, Personal Technology Columnist
Walt Mossberg is the author and creator of the weekly Personal Technology column in The Wall Street Journal, which has appeared every Thursday since 1991.
He currently co-produces and co-hosts D: All Things Digital, a major high-tech conference with interviewees such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and many other leading players in the tech and media industries. The gathering is considered one of the leading conferences focused on the convergence of tech and media industries.
On television, Mr. Mossberg is a regular technology commentator for the CNBC network, where he appears every Thursday on the mid-day Power Lunch program. He is also a regular contributor to Dow Jones Video on the Web.

YES Network, LLC
Tracy Dolgin, President and CEO
Tracy Dolgin, named president and CEO of the YES Network in September 2004, is responsible for all aspects of operations for YES, the most-watched regional sports network in the country for the past five years. Prior to joining YES, Dolgin served as managing director and co-head of Houlihan Lokey’s Media, Sports and Entertainment Group. Earlier, in May 2000, Dolgin was named president of FOX Sports Net, the country’s first national, regional and local supplier of sports programming, which consisted of 21 regional sports channels. Dolgin came to FOX Sports Net from parent company FOX/Liberty Cable, where he served as chief operating officer, responsible for the operations of FOX Sports Net, the FX cable channel, and investments in various other cable channels.
Before joining FOX/Liberty, Dolgin led FOX Sports’ ground-breaking marketing efforts as executive vice president of marketing. He joined FOX Sports at the News Corporation division’s December 1993 inception. Dolgin came to FOX Sports from his position as executive vice president of marketing, FOX Broadcasting Company, where he managed all FOX marketing activities, including promotion, advertising and publicity.
Previously, Dolgin was senior vice president of marketing at HBO Video. He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial-labor relations from Cornell University, and a master’s degree in business administration from Stanford University.
NBA
Adam Silver, Deputy Commissioner and COO
Adam Silver became NBA Deputy Commissioner and Chief Operating Officer in July 2006 after his appointment was unanimously approved by the NBA Board of Governors. He assumed his role as the league’s second-in-command following more than eight years as President and COO, NBA.
Mr. Silver has been instrumental in many league accomplishments including playing a key role in the negotiations of the league’s last two television agreements, the last three collective bargaining agreements with the NBA Players Association, the development of the WNBA and NBA Development League, the partnership with Turner Broadcasting to jointly manage the NBA’s digital assets, the partnership with the NCAA on a wide-ranging initiative aimed at enhancing youth basketball programs in the U.S. and the creation of NBA China as a separately-incorporated operating entity.
During Mr. Silver's tenure, the NBA has seen rapid expansion of its digital activities launching NBA TV and developing the NBA.com Network of team and league web sites. Silver also oversees the NBA’s and WNBA’s game telecasts, which are carried in 215 countries in 41 languages. Also under Mr. Silver’s supervision are the Global Merchandising Group, Global Media Properties and Marketing Partnerships divisions which have seen record growth during his tenure.
Mr. Silver joined the NBA in 1992 and previously served under Commissioner Stern as Special Assistant to the Commissioner; NBA Chief of Staff; Senior Vice President and COO, NBA; and President and COO, NBA.
Verizon
Terry Denson, VP Content/ Acquisition/ Strategy
As Vice President, Content and Programming, Terry Denson oversees the FiOS, Broadband, Mobile and Multi-screen content strategy and acquisition.
Denson served most recently as Vice President of Programming for Insight Communications, the ninth largest cable operator in the country, where he led the acquisition of programming, in addition to the development of analog, digital, video-on-demand, high definition TV, Broadband and interactive content strategies. Previously, as Director of Business Development for the Affiliate Sales and Marketing department of MTV Networks, a division of Viacom International, he negotiated affiliation agreements, managed the sales and distribution of multiple video services, and directed analyses of trends in the market. As general attorney for ABC, he managed numerous content rights and distribution issues.
A graduate of Harvard University, Denson holds a J.D. degree from Georgetown University.
Velocity Interactive Group
Jon Miller, Partner
Jon is a digital media veteran known for his strategic and operational expertise, and is a founding partner of Velocity Interactive Group. From 2002 to 2006, Jon served as Chairman and CEO of AOL. He was brought in to architect an industry-defining turnaround. He restructured the company's core business lines and focused the company on online advertising, including completing the highly successful 2004 acquisition of Advertising.com.
Through his leadership, AOL delivered record annual profit growth of 21 percent and increased its online advertising growth, the centerpiece of the new business model, by 46 percent. Previously, Jon was CEO and President of USA Information and Services, now IACI and Expedia (the company split in two in 2005). Through both acquisitions and migrating business models to become digitally focused, USA/IACI built industry-leading positions in such areas as online travel, ticketing, and electronic retailing. Prior to USA/IACI, Jon was Managing Director of Nickelodeon International, a unit of Viacom's MTV Networks.
Jon received his B.A. with honors from Harvard College. He serves on the Board of the American Film Institute and serves as a trustee of both Emerson College and WNYC Public Radio in New York. Board positions include Idearc Media, Premier Exhibitions, as well as several others.

Eric Shanks, Executive Vice President
Eric Shanks is the Executive Vice President of DIRECTV Entertainment for DIRECTV, Inc., the nation's leading satellite television service provider. Eric oversees business activities related to the development of DIRECTV’s original entertainment, interactive programming and advertising sales.
In his role, Eric supports DIRECTV’s goal to provide customers with the best television experience by developing innovative content and services that are compelling and distinct. The latest advances include the development of NASCAR HotPass, DIRECTV’s exclusive NASCAR package, and the addition of the NFL RedZone feature to DIRECTV’s exclusive NFL SUNDAY TICKET™ package.
Prior to joining DIRECTV, Eric, a five-time Emmy award winner, served as a producer at FOX SPORTS and as vice president of Enhanced Programming for FOX Television Networks. His accomplishments there included producing live coverage of NFL Europe and “The Best Damn SportsShow Period” for FOX Sports Net, as well as launching Sky Sport 1 and 2 for the Sky Italia platform in Italy. Eric was also responsible for overseeing the development and creation of interactive television that complemented FOX’s sports, news and entertainment programming. He joined FOX SPORTS in 1994 for the network's inaugural season of NFL coverage.
Eric began his sports television career as a broadcast associate at CBS Sports in 1993. He currently resides in California and is based at DIRECTV’s El Segundo, Calif. headquarters.
