Kamath is a Vice President in Houlihan Lokey’s Real Estate Valuation and Advisory
Services (REVS) practice. Focusing on valuation of real estate, Mr. Kamath specializes in valuation related to financial
reporting, acquisition due diligence, financial modeling, and distressed debt,
with specific expertise in REITs, private equity, and life sciences companies.
He is based in the firm’s New York office.
Kamath has nearly a decade of extensive real estate analytical, modeling, and
valuation experience working with large real estate portfolios in the U.S. and
abroad. He advised one of the largest sovereign wealth funds with due diligence
on a portfolio of high-end hotels across North America and Europe.
Additionally, he has managed two high-profile expert witness valuation projects
involving real estate valuation analysis in the gaming industry.
Kamath’s recent experience includes conducting a valuation for financial
reporting for a real estate holding company in the U.S. with more than $4
billion in real estate assets and development land.
joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Kamath served as an
experienced Manager in Deloitte Advisory’s Real Estate Consulting group. Prior
to that, he was an investment analyst with Standard Chartered Bank and with
Citigroup’s private banking group.
Kamath holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Rochester and an M.S. in
Economics and Finance from Cardiff University, U.K. He is a member of the
Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) and the Urban Land Institute (ULI).
