Eric Weber

Managing Director

Mr. Weber is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Institutions Group (FIG). He is based in the firm’s New York office.

Previously, Mr. Weber was a Managing Partner at Freeman & Co., an independent advisory firm focused on providing M&A advisory, capital raising, and other investment banking advisory services to financial institutions clients, prior to its acquisition by Houlihan Lokey in 2019.  

While at Freeman & Co., Mr. Weber completed transactions in a wide range of financial sectors, focusing his efforts on building the firm’s expertise in the asset management sector as well as helping to launch the firm’s private equity, transatlantic, and financial technology coverage. He has advised on transactions involving some of the largest global financial institutions, including Franklin Templeton, BlackRock, AIG, Guggenheim, BNY Mellon, BNP Paribas, Société Générale, Hamilton Lane, Russell Investments, and Man Group.

Prior to joining Freeman & Co., Mr. Weber was a strategist and institutional consultant at Schafer Cullen Capital Management. Earlier, he was a Vice President at Quan-Vest Consultants, an institutional investment consulting firm, where he was responsible for screening and monitoring investment managers. Mr. Weber was also a consultant with Williams, Thacher & Rand, a 401(k) services firm.

Mr. Weber received a B.A. in Economics from the College of William & Mary and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) from the CFA Institute.
