Managing Director

Ms. Cheng is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial and Valuation Advisory business. She focuses on transaction opinions and is on the review committees of the firm’s Fairness Opinions and Solvency Opinions practices. Ms. Cheng is based in the firm’s New York office.

Since joining Houlihan Lokey in 2005, Ms. Cheng has worked with both public and private companies across many industries and has advised boards of directors, special committees, and other fiduciaries in a wide variety of situations, including leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, asset sales, stock repurchase, going-private, and debt and equity financing transactions. She is experienced in business and securities valuations and focuses on financial analysis involving complex situations and corporate governance issues. 

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. Cheng was an Assistant Vice President at MBIA Asset Management, focusing on structured finance investments. Earlier, she served as a Corporate Relationship Manager at HSBC in Hong Kong.

Ms. Cheng received a B.B.A. with honors from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA from Yale University. She also holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst and is a member of CFA Institute.
