Robert Teigman


Mr. Teigman is Co-Head of Houlihan Lokey’s Energy Financial and Valuation Advisory practice and a Director in the firm’s Oil & Gas Group as well as the Board Advisory and Opinions practice. He focuses on transaction opinions in which he assists boards of directors, special committees, LPACs, and other constituents in evaluating proposals and understanding critical transaction issues. Mr. Teigman is based in the firm’s Houston office.

Mr. Teigman is a frequent speaker on economic and valuation issues pertaining to the energy sector, particularly in Texas, the Gulf Coast, Oklahoma, and Colorado.

Mr. Teigman has more than a decade of experience analyzing complex transactions, including conflict-prone situations involving issues of corporate governance. He has played an integral role in the rendering of numerous transaction opinions related to mergers and acquisitions, restructurings, recapitalizations, spinoffs, and asset sales.

Mr. Teigman has significant experience in the oil and gas industry, having worked on a number of advisory engagements involving complex and difficult-to-value energy assets. His energy experience includes the E&P, midstream, refining/storage, biofuels, retail/C-store, and energy equipment and services subsectors. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, he was a member of the equity research team at BMO Capital Markets, where he assisted in coverage of the renewable energy industry.  

Mr. Teigman holds a B.S. in Finance, with a minor in Accounting, from Lehigh University, where he graduated summa cum laude. He is a CFA charterholder.
