Co-Head of China Restructuring

Ms. Xia is a Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group and advises clients on restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and financing. She is active in advising clients in both Greater China and Southeast Asia and is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Ms. Xia has worked on various restructuring transactions, including the restructuring of Bumi Resources in Indonesia, China Shanshui Cement and Winsway in China, Sterling Biotech in India, Paladin Energy in Australia, and Oro Negro in Singapore/North America. Her M&A experience includes the sale of Honiton Energy to Terraform Global (NASDAQ:GLBL), the privatization of China Hydroelectric Corp., and the sale of LTK Cable to Shenzhen Woer Heat-Shrinkable Material Co. 

Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. Xia was an Associate in corporate finance at J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific, where she focused on M&A in the natural resources sector. She has advised a wide range of transactions, including cross-border acquisitions by China Datang Corp., multiple transactions for Bumi Resources, the US$883 million acquisition for China Daye Nonferrous, and the US$682 million IPO of China Datang Renewable Power, among others. Prior to J.P. Morgan, Ms. Xia was at Morgan Stanley in New York and worked on the US$720 million IPO and dual-track sale process for Mead Johnson Nutrition. 

Ms. Xia graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a B.S. in Economics & Mathematics and a Certificate in Markets and Management Studies.
