Co-Head of China Restructuring

Ms. Xia is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group and Co-Head of China Restructuring. She advises clients on restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and financing in both Greater China and Southeast Asia. Ms. Xia is based in the firm’s Hong Kong office.

Ms. Xia has an extensive experience advising clients on restructuring situations across different industries. Her recent transactions include China Evergrande, Kaisa, Fantasia, Modern Land, Sunac, Luckin Coffee, Yestar Healthcare, Sichuan Languang, Tahoe, GCL Energy, Hilong Group, Huachen Energy, China Shanshui Cement, Winsway Enterprises, Bumi Resources, Paladin Energy, and Oro Negro. 

Prior to joining Houlihan Lokey, Ms. Xia was an Associatein corporate finance at J.P. Morgan Asia Pacific, where she focused on M&A. While there, she advised on a wide range of transactions, including cross-border acquisitions by China Datang, a $883 million acquisition by China Daye Nonferrous, multiple transactions for Bumi Resources, and the $682 million IPO of China Datang Renewable Power, among others. Before that, Ms. Xia was at Morgan Stanley in New York, where she worked on the $720 million IPO and dual-track sale process for Mead Johnson Nutrition. 

Ms. Xia graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a B.S. in Economics & Mathematics and a Certificate in Markets and Management Studies.
