Mr. Martínez-Fidalgo is a Managing Director in Houlihan Lokey’s Financial Restructuring Group and is Head of the Spanish Restructuring practice. He divides his time between the firm’s offices in London and Madrid.
During his career at Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Martínez-Fidalgo has participated in a broad range of financial restructuring and distressed engagements across Europe, including Aker Kvaerner ASA, Augusta Technologie AG, Concordia Bus Nordic AB, Focus DIY, JVH Gaming & Entertainment Group, Luxfer Holdings PLC, Ontex, Parmalat Finanziaria SpA, Sea Containers Ltd., Selected Services Partners, Truvo, 20:20 Mobile Group, Vanco PLC and Welcome Break Group Ltd. In Spain, his disclosable engagements include General de Alquiler de Maquinaria, Eroski, Bodybell, Española del Zinc, Futura Internacional, Levantina y Asociados de Minerales, Martinsa-Fadesa, Orizonia, Panrico, and Service Point Solutions S.A., among others.
Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Martínez-Fidalgo was an Associate in Deutsche Bank’s Financial Institutions Group. He has also worked at Merrill Lynch and Cajastur.
Mr. Martínez-Fidalgo earned a B.B.A. from Universidad de Oviedo and graduated with honours from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business MBA program. He speaks fluent Spanish and French, and is conversational in German. Mr. Martínez-Fidalgo was named in Financial News' 2011 “40 Under 40 Rising Stars in Investment Banking.”
